Sommelier's Friend

The team behind Sommelier’s Friend discovered the variety and depth of wines as teenagers, learned in part from parents.

We've been interested primarily in how good a wine is, not how well known it already is.  Wine became part of our lives.  Extensive blind tastings around the world for two decades have led us to also find new wines that are as good, or even better, than traditional favourites.  We love spending time sharing ideas and new winemaking methods.  This devotion to an open minded, honest and experienced palate has led to many requests for us to find wines for others.  This is how Sommelier’s Friend came to be founded.

Many of our friends are sommeliers, who seek quality wines that are not necessarily available in the UK, as well as the best of the more traditional.  Our role is to bring these great creations into the UK to our sommelier friends in fine restaurants and hotels.
